Make the right decisions for optimum performance
Three key factors to consider before starting
Prior to launching the project, we carry out three vital studies to help you choose the biomethane system that is best suited to the type of feedstock you’ll use, the site and your operating limitations.
Biomass analysis
We analyse and identify the feedstock to determine the correct size of the plant. To do so, we use a database with the results of 1,500 analyses of 250 types of waste.
With the help of our partner SYCOMORE’s lab, we can carry out analyses (dry matter, organic matter, N, P, K, methane potential, etc.) or conduct pilot tests with specific feedstocks.
Plot analysis
Our teams assess the plot of land and ensure it’s suitable for your project.
We analyse the surface area, the type of soil and subsoil and the topography, and carry out geotechnical, hydrogeological and town planning studies.
Biogas recovery
We devise the best biogas recovery solutions for you based on the expected quantity of biogas produced and ease of access to the electrical grid or gas network.
Designing and configuring the plant
Our designs are based on 20 years of feedback and a portfolio of 90 operational plants. The equipment we advise using is tried and tested and we work our hardest to suggest solutions in line with your limitations. Each part of the process is developed and designed to best meet your needs.
Looking to make savings? We’ve got you covered
We design energy-saving plants that offer guaranteed reductions on operating costs throughout their lifetime.
We carry out thermal and electrical studies in the pre-project phase to establish future energy use and devise solutions to reduce it :
• Thermal study: gas holder insulation, sealing digester walls and apron, heat recovery, etc.
• Electrical study: modifying the motor insulation class, using frequency converters in the largest motors, changing the equipment settings, installing solar panels on the roofs for energy self-sufficiency.
We’re committed to reducing energy use in all of our projects.
At the end of the designing and configuring phase, our planning department will send through detailed plans for your future plant: site plans, 3D view, PID, etc.
Redesigning and modifying existing plants
Upgrading
We carry out audits of existing sites to establish the sizing and calculate the costs of any expansion or modernisation of your plant. With 20 upgrades under our belts, we can ensure your plant is as efficient as possible, tailored to your needs, profitable in terms of operating costs and scaleable.
