Built in 2010, CAPIK was one of the first biomethane plants in France to install infinitely mixed digester technology. The Haut-Normand industrial project is led by a professional waste processor and an agricultural cooperative. CAPIK is authorised to process 36,000 tonnes of organic waste and is connected to a 775 kW cogeneration motor. A biowaste deconditioning unit was installed in 2020 to recycle all of the biowaste produced by households and industrial farmers. The plant is on track to meet the regulatory requirements and environmental challenges involved in sorting waste at the source by 2024.
