– Project company: Biogaz de Gaillon (27)

– Deposits: 26 000 tonnes per year including

2 000 tonnes of sewage sludge

2 000 tonnes of horse manure

2 800 tonnes of green waste


– Biogas recovery: Cogeneration of 725 kW.

– Digestate recovery: Phase separation, in situ storage of solid digestates and liquid digestates.

– Method used: Completely mixed, vitrified steel tanks

– Specific advantages: The hot water system is connected to an aquatic centre and a college.

– Thermal recovery: Heat recovery via a heat network supplying an aquatic centre, built and operated by the Eure Madrie Seine Community of Communes.

CO2 emissions avoided per year: 3 028 tonnes of CO2 per year. Equivalent to the electricity consumption of 865 families.

– Status of the project: Commissioned in spring 2014.
